THE GIN GAME by D.L. Coburn Tragi-comedy In a seedy nursing home, the destitute Weller sits playing a lonely, unseccessful game of solitaire. Prim, self-righteous Fonsia Dorsey joins him and they begin to play gin rummy while revealing intimate details of their lives. Fonsia wins every time and finally Weller leaves, a broken man, while she realizes her rigidity in life has left her an embittered, lonely old age. |
