About Us The Theatre in English ticket office centralizes ticket sales for the two societies, GAOS and GEDS. It's work includes running a telephone answering service, carrying out various aspects of office work, and manning the theatre box-office during a production. The office itself is manned by a volunteer staff working on a rota system. There is no hard and fast rule about the hours put in by each staff member, but the average is one half-day per week. The office is open for 3 weeks per production, making a total of about 25 or 26 weeks per year. These staff members must, obviously, be free during the day-time. Those helping at the theatre box-office, on the other hand, are only required to be there from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m. The TIE ticket office staff are always glad to hear from anyone willing to join their team.
